Westoning has approximately 2150 residents (2011 Census) living in 886 dwellings. There are many different groups that make up the village community of Westoning. St. Mary Magdalene Church
The Anglican Church in Westoning is called St. Mary Magdalene and is found near the end of Church Road. It is in the Early English style and the register dates from 1560. WLS visit the Church for Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Leavers services. Reverend Nigel Washington regularly comes to school and is also a Foundation Governor on the School Governing Body.

Westoning Baptist Church
The Baptist Church is on Greenfield Road not far from the School. WLS has visited the Church when studying different forms of Christianity. The story of Westoning Baptist Church, like others in the area, begins in the days of John Bunyan. He came to preach at a cottage near Lower Sampshill, in the Parish of Westoning, on 12th November 1660, at the age of 32. Contact details can be found on Westoning Baptist Church's website.

Westoning Village Hall
The Village Hall is situated on Church Road and used to be the School building until the school moved to its present site in 1913. The Hall is used for different groups and classes, and can be hired for functions. It is managed by The Spensley Trust which meets once a month and a Warden lives next to the Hall.

Westoning Parish Council
The Parish Council is currently made up of 11 members and a Clerk. The Council meets once a month in the Village Hall to discuss issues pertinent to the village. They are responsible for the public areas in Westoning and the School rents part of the Recreation ground during the school day from the Parish Council.

Westoning Youth Football Club
Westoning Football Club is a Charter Standard Youth Football Club with the aim to bring football to the Youth from the village of Westoning and the surrounding area. Many children from the School play for the Club. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Westoning Netball Club
